Watch it from the beginning on your own. It probably is better that way. But once you're a few seasons in and you understand the characters, how they work / don't work you can then start watching random episodes.
It's hard watching it from the beginning alongside people who have seen it all because they always just want to put on random episodes!
"The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis" is good but honestly just watch it from the beginning.
